Do You Believe In Magic?

“…If you believe in magic, come along with me…then you’ll see how the magic’s in the music and the music’s in me.” The Lovin’ Spoonful

Nobody does Groovy like the music from the 60’s and 70’s.  They had something we have lost.  Our current state of being lacks Groovy.  Modern music, politics, business, relationships, family, socializing, etc. have become “have to’s.”  Gotta pencil that in!  Let me schedule fifteen minutes of fun into my week.  I don’t know how many times I have had to get on somebody’s Google Calendar to schedule casual telephone conversation, UGH!

Maybe the 60’s and 70’s were a time of unrest where the only way to cope was to try to feel groovy one way or another.  Today, we have so many conveniences.  They mask what really feels groovy.  Being busy, complacent, obligated, indebted have become our norm.  We don’t even know what Groovy is or how it feels.  We are numb.  And if we are not numb, we self anesthetize with food, alcohol, sex, shopping, whatever it takes to forget how bored, poor, lonely, unhealthy we really are.

I believe in magic.  I know that doing what we love for work can support our families.  There is more to living than mere existing.  I know because I am there.  No, my career, where I live and what I weigh are not close to ideal.  But I am living Groovy right now.  It is flowing through my veins.  Here’s the key:  You have to believe in magic.  You need to believe in your amazing-ness. Know deep down that the universe, God, Source, Higher Power (whatever) wants this for you and is waiting to hand it to you on a silver platter.  Just believe.

And, if you believe in magic, then come along with me…

Know I love you all! Tell me what’s going on in your life.  I want to hear from you.

Wishing you love, balance & peace!

Amore & Baci,

Just Steph
